Reference Tunings - Sine Tones Of The Molecules

The reference tones are intended to enable musicians to tune their instruments to a wide variety of natural events such as planetary orbits or molecules according to the principle of the "Cosmic Octave".

I try to describe the tuning of your instrument in a few simple words using the example of the earth tone "tropical year", i.e. the earth's orbit around the sun, within one year:

You tune the concert pitch A to 432.1 Hz of your instrument (standard is 440Hz), for which the respective standard pitch frequencies (concert pitch) are intended. Starting from A, you now tune your entire instrument.

With synthesizers this is easy because only the master tuning needs to be tuned and not all sides of an analog instrument such as a guitar.

When you have tuned your instrument, you play a C sharp and thus get the desired frequency of 136.1 Hz in a certain octave.

In the case of molecule scoring, the acoustic simulation of a molecule is considerably more complex. For example, the CBD molecule has 5 main spectra, which means there are 5 different basic moods that are each recorded at 5 different speeds/bpm and then played back simultaneously.

Title "a" is the reference tone of the desired frequency/planet tone.
Title "b" is the associated pitch A for your master tuning.

At the end of the name of each file is the corresponding note that should be played to achieve the desired main frequency.

With the download of the album you always have all the molecule reference tones with you, you can import them into any DAW or media player and thus control your moods or tune your analogue instrument to them. Since mp3s can produce slight overtone shifts, we recommend downloading them as .wav or .flac files.

The download of the album "Reference Tunings - Sine Tones Of The Molecules" also contains detailed tuning data pdfs that were provided by Fritz Dobretzberger (Planetware) according to calculations by Hans Cousto. Many thanks for that.

Most of the pdfs are in german, but the tables actually say everything, so that they can also be very helpful if you don't speak German.

Reference Tunings - Sine Tones Of The Molecules
